Founded in 1945 in Mexico City by Cleto Reyes Castro, who started making gloves after a single amateur fight convinced him he was better off building equipment than taking punches. His gloves were approved by the Mexico City Boxing Commission that same year and used in a world championship bout. The brand is known as the classic "puncher's glove." Cleto Reyes uses horsehair padding and goatskin leather, giving a firm, compact feel where you feel every punch land. Fighters like Muhammad Ali, Manny Pacquiao, and Oscar De La Hoya have fought in them. All production stays in Mexico, handmade by around 150 workers in a workshop outside Mexico City.
